A Hindu wedding is a vow spoken to fire, family, and future. In our world, the Pheras aren’t “covered” by a camera or staged for décor—they’re authored with care so every vow lands with meaning. The Mandap isn’t a prop; it’s a sanctum where architecture, ritual, and emotion meet.

At Siam Planner Co., Ltd., creators of the app-style platform Thailand Planner, we design Indian weddings in Thailand from zero—no packages, no recycled floor plans, no pre-signed vendor lists. We listen first, then build the right team, the right space, and the right flow so your sacred rites feel precise, beautiful, and unmistakably yours. Start with our India-focused hub: Indian Wedding.

What the Pheras mean—so design can honor them

Saptapadi is not a sequence to rush. Each round around Agni carries intent—nourishment, resilience, purpose, home, loyalty, wellbeing, lifelong companionship. We map those meanings into the scene:

  • Sightlines: elders, pandit, couple, and sacred fire can see and hear one another without obstruction.

  • Acoustics: mantras and vows are carried cleanly (wind on a beach, fountains in a garden, ballroom reverb—each asks for different sound treatment).

  • Pacing: no crowding of rituals; pauses are designed so the moment breathes.

  • Respect for protocol: regional differences (North/South, Sikh–Hindu–interfaith) are studied and followed with care.

Choosing the stage in Thailand (mood before map)

Thailand offers extraordinary canvases. We match feeling to place, then compose the Mandap around it.

  • Bangkok: riverfront ghats, rooftop views, five-star logistics for multi-day programs. See Bangkok Weddings.

  • Phuket: clifftop vows, private piers, villa takeovers with ocean breeze. See Phuket Weddings.

  • Koh Samui: intimate villas, palms, poolside mehndi, starry-night pheras. See Koh Samui Weddings.

  • Chiang Mai: temple blessings, teak courtyards, forest light and Lanna serenity. See Chiang Mai Weddings.

  • Hua Hin: garden-by-the-sea ease, lawns and pavilions for weekend flows. See Hua Hin Weddings.

Mandap architecture with soul (materials, form, and meaning)

We don’t “decorate a canopy.” We design a sacred room that frames Agni and your families.

Form & structure

  • Carved wood pillars inspired by your family’s region; or minimalist timber/metal with textile ceilings for coastal wind.

  • Load-bearing plans for garland weight, hanging diyas, floral chandeliers, or suspended kalash motifs.

  • Raised platform heights tuned to sightlines for elders and cameras without feeling stagey.

Materials & textures

  • Marigold, jasmine, lotus, tuberose, orchids—selected for aroma, heat tolerance, and symbolism.

  • Handloom textiles, patola borders, chikankari veils, Banarasi runners; Thai silks for roof drape and aisle seams.

  • Earth-friendly options: reusable frames, potted flora, biodegradable petal cones.

Fire & purity

  • Venting diagram for the Havan Kund, ember management, and monk-approved venues when blessings merge.

  • Non-toxic fuel and ash handling; respect for venue and coastline rules.

Access & comfort

  • Shadow modeling to protect elders; breeze paths mapped for beaches.

  • Discreet seating for parents, pandits, and key relatives; barefoot-friendly matting.

Rituals, not stereotypes (research before styling)

Indian weddings are plural. Gujarati timings, Tamil muhurtham, Sikh Anand Karaj, mixed-faith unions—each asks different space, order, and tone. We collaborate with pandits/granthies and, when needed, scholars to align rites to place and hour. See how we work: How It Works.

Sound, light, and time (so mantras carry and the scene sings)

  • Sound design: lav mics on the pandit, a hidden vocal mic for vows, dhol cues for arrival that fade gracefully before the fire rites.

  • Light craft: soft directional light for pre-sunset pheras; candle, diya, and low-glare fixtures for night; no color spill on the sacred fire.

  • Joy architecture: buffer windows between ceremonies, verandah shade for elders, water and cool towels on cycle—this is emotional pacing, not just a schedule.

Guest journey (door-to-door care)

A sacred ceremony feels stronger when guests feel looked after.

  • Arrivals: orchids and lemongrass towels, bilingual hosts (English/Hindi/Punjabi/Tamil as needed), smooth shuttles.

  • Seating logic: elders closest, photo-hungry cousins with a clear but respectful line, kids with quiet activities nearby.

  • Comfort: shade, hydration, gentle airflow; modesty shawls and spare bindis at a courtesy desk; wheelchair routes tested.

We plan the whole week, not a single hour: Services.

Food that respects faith—and delights

Jain, Halal, vegan, regional comfort foods, and Thai-Indian fusions are composed per function and climate. Service pacing is designed around the rite (light bites before pheras, heartier fare after). Culinary direction is creative but mindful—flavor with dignity, not gimmick.

Photo, film, and music: the memory engine

Film & photoWe brief crews on ritual order, hand cues, and family roles so nothing sacred is interrupted. Drones are grounded during fire rites unless the pandit approves and wind allows. The brief follows the emotional script, not a generic shot list.

MusicShehnai at a volume that respects mantras, dhol for the baraat with a graceful taper, and—if you wish—an original entry song composed for you. See our planning hub: Wedding.

Invitations, keepsakes, and art (designed in-house)

  • Invitations & signage: editorial-grade print and bilingual suites designed by our studio; guest-specific details where needed.

  • Gifts & décor accents: order bespoke favors, welcome kits, and alphabet-art pieces that literally spell your city/theme via MeowWalk—our party & gift shop.

  • Party sequences: for sangeet-forward or after-party nights across Bangkok/Pattaya/Phuket, dive into Party.

Exploring elite collaborators worldwide? See our platform entry for the global five-star directory: VIP Puzzle.

Weather, permits, and safety (quietly handled)

  • Plan A/B/C: shade plots, monsoon-aware coverings, floor protection for sand or lawn, safe flame alternatives if local rules shift.

  • Compliance: beach, temple, and palace permissions; noise windows; sky lantern restrictions; private-estate protocols.

  • Privacy: NDAs, discrete routing, and security where the guest list demands it.

Pricing with integrity (value by design)

We’re vendor-agnostic and commission-free. Your budget is reverse-engineered from what you—and your elders—should feel, not a package grid. Proposals are itemized and transparent so more of your spend appears on the stage your guests actually experience.

What happens after “I do”

Thank-you logistics, edit deliveries, custom keepsakes, honeymoon handoffs (island escapes near Krabi, culture days in Old Chiang Mai, spa recovery in Hua Hin). Your digital home can evolve—from RSVP hub to family site. Ask about our custom platforms and guest tools.
