On 24 October 2025, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother passed away in Bangkok. Thailand has entered an official mourning period, and many organizations are adjusting communications and events accordingly. Our team at Thailand Planner shares this update with utmost respect. Reuters+1

What this means right now

  • We are operating with a respectful tone across all communications and client work.

  • National guidance indicates an extended mourning period with near-term observances; event tone and public communications may be moderated across the country. Please consult your venue and local authorities for specific requirements. TAT Newsroom

Our booking policy (clear dates)

  • Weddings: We are accepting bookings for wedding dates on or after 27 January 2026 (three months from today’s date, 27 October 2025). If your destination wedding in Thailand is 27 Jan 2026 or later, you can book now.

  • Events & parties: We can accept January 2026 dates onward for events/parties that observe a respectful tone (e.g., moderated sound/fireworks, appropriate dress guidance, and considerate programming).

  • If you need help deciding what’s appropriate for your occasion and location, contact our team for tailored guidance.

How we’ll support you

As a registered event management company and full-scope wedding planner in Thailand, we handle A–Z planning for international couples and brands—concept, culturally precise ceremony design, hospitality for large guest counts, production, logistics, and on-site direction. Primary destinations include Phuket, Koh Samui, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai.

  • For couples researching a destination wedding in Thailand, we’ll advise on respectful music programming, décor palettes, and run-of-show adjustments, and coordinate with venues regarding any local guidance in effect.

  • For corporate/social events, we’ll craft tone-appropriate experiences that still feel beautiful and memorable for your guests.

Why we structure bookings this way

Our priority is to honor Thailand’s national moment while giving couples and clients a confident planning window. Setting weddings from 27 January 2026 onward and events from January 2026 keeps expectations clear for guests, venues, and suppliers—especially for beach weddings in Phuket, resort weddings in Koh Samui, and city weddings in Bangkok where international travel plans are made months in advance.

FAQ: Weddings & Events in Thailand During National Mourning (2025–2026)

FAQ - Weddings and Parties During National Mourning (2025–2026)

1) Are you operating right now?

Yes. We’re planning and consulting as normal, but with a respectful tone in all communications and event guidance.

2) When can I book my wedding date?

We’re accepting bookings now for wedding dates on or after 27 January 2026. Planning work (design, venue holds, budgeting, guest logistics) can begin immediately.

3) When can I book events/parties?

We’re accepting events and parties from January 2026 onward, provided programming remains respectful (e.g., moderated sound, appropriate styling).

4) Which destinations do you cover?

As a wedding planner in Thailand and full-scope event management company, we serve Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Chiang Mai, plus other locations on request.

5) Do you plan destination weddings in Thailand for international couples?

Absolutely. We handle A–Z production (design, cultural ceremony planning, hospitality for large guest counts, logistics, on-site direction) and coordinate with venues and suppliers to keep everything aligned with local guidance.

6) Can you handle Indian / South Asian weddings (multi-day events)?

Yes. From sangeet to baraat to fire rituals (agni), we manage cultural requirements with venues and authorities (e.g., fire permits, sound windows), and arrange vegetarian/halal catering and large-guest logistics.

7) What about sound levels, fireworks, or alcohol service during mourning?

Requirements vary by venue and locality. We’ll advise case-by-case—expect moderated music, possible time windows, and potential restrictions on fireworks. We’ll propose tasteful alternatives (lighting, choreography, live acoustic sets).

8) Can we do a legal marriage now and a celebration later?

Many couples do the legal registration separately and hold the celebration later. We’ll guide you on venues, embassies/district offices (for foreigners), and then design the symbolic ceremony and reception for 2026+.

9) What’s your booking & payment approach?

To secure your date we prepare a tailored proposal and contract. A booking retainer is required to reserve the date/venue block; remaining payments follow project milestones. Exact schedules are confirmed in your proposal.

10) What if regulations change—can we reschedule?

We work with flexible rescheduling options aligned with venue/vendor terms. If official guidance affects your event, we’ll prioritize new dates and transfer as much value as possible to the rescheduled plan.

11) Will you take small elopements before 27 January 2026?

Our current policy is weddings from 27 January 2026 onward. If you need advice for a simple civil registration or an ultra-private moment beforehand, we’re happy to consult and plan your full celebration for 2026+.

12) How should we style the event during this period?

We recommend elegant, tone-appropriate palettes, moderated entertainment, and refined lighting in place of loud effects. Our creative team will propose designs that feel celebratory yet respectful.

13) What’s the best timeline for a destination wedding in Thailand?

Most couples book 9–12 months ahead for Phuket/Koh Samui resorts and 6–10 months for city venues in Bangkok or Chiang Mai. We can fast-track planning where feasible.

14) How do we start?

  • Request a consultation via contact our team

  • Share your preferred destination(s), guest count, and target date range

  • We’ll hold venues, create a budget framework, and present initial design directions
